        boot manager
            standard / bootmgr

            / and swap

           base / kernels / man / src / ports

        CD/DVD


    commit
        yes!




post installation
    root password


    user / group magememant
        /bin/tcsh
        'wheel' group


    time zone => Asia/Taiwan


    networking
        interface, sshd


exit install

initial ports system (sysinstall)


    pick up the server in NCTU CS
    /etc/portsnap.conf
        SERVERNAME=portsnap.tw.FreeBSD.org
   
    update ports tree   (maybe time comsumming)
    $ portsnap fetch extract update


    $ cd /usr/ports/ports-mgmt/portmaster
    $ make install clean


    $ portmaster ports-mgmt/portaudit
